Treacle tart
Preparation
Line an open tart-dish with pastry letting the paste hang 1 inch over the brim
Spread the inside with treacle
Scatter over it a few breadcrumbs, the squeeze of 1 lemon, and cover with a thin sheet of pastry
Wet the edges and fold the under one well over the upper to keep in the treacle
Bake in a moderate oven for half an hour
Turn out carefully
Sift sugar over it and serve.
